Accomplishments
In the past 2 years, the Nursing2007 Foundation has supported writing contests to recognize nurse-writers, coordinated efforts to provide relief for nursing schools affected by Hurricane Katrina, and made donations to established programs, as shown below:
- Scholarships
The Nursing2007 Foundation awarded two scholarships to minority nursing students at the Susie Toledo and Lisa P. Wilson, both of the Navajo Nation and attending the University of New Mexico in Gallup. Also, in conjunction with the National Student Nurses Association, the foundation awarded two scholarships to nursing students Christopher Burleigh of Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, N.Y., and Nakita Travis of Beckfield College in Florence, Ky.

This DVD/video is sponsored by multiple organizations, including the American Assembly for Men in Nursing, the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Johnson and Johnson's Campaign for Nursing's Future, Kaiser Permanente, and the Nursing2007 Foundation. Promoting men and their careers in nursing, this documentary is being distributed to 90 public television stations. It's available for purchase in DVD format (5,000 minimum) from its publisher, Davis Gray Productions.
The Nursing2007 Foundation operates independently from Nursing2007 journal and its publisher, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, a Wolters Kluwer company. The journal has donated resources and funding to the foundation. The Nursing2007 Foundation is an operating project under the Trust Counselors Network, a subsidiary of the Trust Counselors Network, Inc. (TCN), which was formed as a Pennsylvania not-for–profit corporation.
